What happens when Simon Cowell catches up on his tweeting

If you are one of his followers on Twitter you might have notice that Simon Cowell doesn’t update his Twitter feed regularly. But when he does, he posts all the things that pass through his head! Like this Tuesday morning when he send no more than 17 messages in the Twittersphere in less than an hour.

The music mogul was on a 12 hours flight and took the chance to catch up on his tweeting, writing about his TV projects, his health, he offered life advice or how  fixing the obstacles in life is ‘fun’. He began by apologising for not being on Twitter for a while and talked about the X Factor:  There will be a lot of changes on X factor uk and USA. But good changes. I feel excited for both shows this year.

He went on promoting the stars his label manages saying: One direction continue to amaze me. Hard workers but still the nicest guys you could hope to work with. He then mention Emblem 3, Fifth Harmony and Tate, from the X Factor US, continuing with Ella Henderson and James Arthur from the UK talent competition.

Simon said that he has some unseen early footage of the One Direction movie, telling everyone that is ‘very very exciting’, and also promoted the Paul Potts movie, calling it ‘brilliant’.

After this he started rambling about life ‘insights’ like family and friends matter most than work, and wanted to let everybody know that he is enjoying life , he is healthy and happy.

What I have realised is there will be bumps in your life but the fun is fixing them. If it was always easy life would be boring.

And everything I have been working on it made me realise that your friends and family are still the most important things in your life.

Sorry to cram all this in. Have read some strange things about me recently. I am happy. Healthy .And enjoying life .Hope you are too.

Simon also revealed that he is working on something ‘very close’ to him but didn’t say what the project was about. He also asked his fans to check his new project ‘You Generation’,  a contest that scouts talent by using YouTube. The competition will be launched with a live streamed interview with One Direction. There will be a new contest organised each fortnight, for different skills, and the entries will be judged by experts in that area and executives from Syco, Cowell’s company.  26 finalists will be move forward to compete for the grand prize at the end of the year.

Cowell wanted to use the power of YouTube because the medium has made it easier for people to get noticed. He became aware of this after he saw that Susan Boyle’s audition at Britain’s Got Talent has gathered 500 million views from around the world.
