Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell had a massive fallout after he was involved in the decision to axe her from X Factor USA. Even though they are on good terms now, all could come back if Simon will testify against her in the lawsuit Cheryl Cole vs. X Factor USA.
Apparently Cheryl had to go to court last year, suing the show’s bosses for £1.4 million unpaid fees, and according to the Metro Simon Cowell is one of the top witnesses on behalf of the production company. Cheryl demands include £ 62,000 each year for clothes and £16,000 for hair and make-up, and also, she wants £9,400 a month for the rent she says it was promised by the company, and £ 1,600 a month for the living expenses. The court papers say the deal was that the company will pay her on a ‘pay or play’ basis, and apparently she was guaranteed to get the money even if she wasn’t on the second series of the show. Cheryl Cole states that she was supposed to receive £ 1.1 million for the first series and £ 1.2 million for the second series, but the expenses weren’t paid for neither.
A source was saying that everyone was surprised by the lawsuit because no judge should be paid for a season he wasn’t on.
Meanwhile, Cheryl has definitely ruled out any idea of coming back to the X Factor but Simon Cowell has declared that he would like to be back on the UK version. HE recently said that: It’s been difficult the last two years not being on the show as I always had a great time and the last time that I did do it, it was such a brilliant year. So at some point of course I’m going to come back and do the show. In the meantime he will be back on the UK screens really soon, as the new series of Britain’s Got Talent debuts in April.
