X Factor auditions might go back to basics

The X Factor show will reach a milestone, entering in its tenth year, but despite of that the auditions won’t be that spectacular as before. Reports claim that the talented hopefuls will have to  give the best they’ve got in smaller venues, like  clubs.

The first hint was dropped by Cowell who, in his Twitter rant, posted something about the changes that X Factor will go through: There will be a lot of changes on X Factor UK and USA. But good changes. I feel excited about both shows this year.

Talking about if these changes will have an effect on how the auditions are being held, a source revealed to The Sun that the audition has to be significant different from the live show, and a smaller venues is a fresh and new idea: We always talk about the singer’s ‘journey’ but visually the live shows don’t seem much different from the auditions. We need a significant point of difference between the audition and the live show. ‘Smaller venues’ is the latest idea and it’s one we quite like as it is new and could feel fresh.

The producers fear that since introducing arena auditions in 2009, viewers are no longer impressed by the live show itself, being used to the glitzy performances. So they thought to tone them down by using jazz clubs, social clubs or working men clubs from towns all over the UK.

Meanwhile, there is still no clear news about the panel but is seems more and more that Sharon Osbourne is in the pole position for taking Tulisa’s place.
