Simon Cowell gets back to what he does best: throwing a party

cowellanhugotaylor

After a surprising Twitter rant on Tuesday morning, posting 17 messages about life, health, his projects and career, Simon Cowell returned to one the things he does best: socializing with his famous friends.

He was the host of an afternoon tea party at The Dorchester hotel in London, for the aid of The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice. The party was packed with a lot of his showbiz friends. Cowell seemed to be in a very good mood when he arrived at the bash, in his usual outfit of a black crew-neck jumper and jeans, but accessorized with a big smile on his face.

The list of stars that came to show their support of the cause is quite impressive, leaving the music mogul happy and satisfied. Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster made a stylish appearance, with the model sporting a black wool coat and a very chic magenta pashmina.

Mark Wright, the TV presenter, and singer Peter Andre turned up as well, looking sleek and dapper, Mark choosing a tailored suits and Peter an all-black look, putting on a turtleneck and a velour jacket paired with some black jeans. Amy Childs, Mark’s co-star from The Only Way Is Essex, also was present, looking elegant in a printed bodycon dress and a pair of spiked Mary Jane heels. The girls from Stooshe didn’t bother to glam it up instead they chose to remain true to their style by wearing harem or disco pants and funky accessories. Sarah Ferguson was also seen at the party, looking elegant and royal in a two piece outfit.

The ladies later posted on Twitter about their afternoon at the party: ‘Amazing afternoon at the Dorchester with @SSChospices for afternoon tea 🙂 lovely turn out 🙂 K

Of course Simon couldn’t leave out top entertainment, choosing the boyband JLS and Jahmene Douglas, an X Factor runner up, to delight his guests. The people at Shooting Star Children’s Hospice tweeted a picture of the performers, saying Thanks to @JLSOfficial and @JahmeneDouglas for coming down to the Dorchester to lend their support to @SSChospices. ‘We’ve had a fab afternoon with @SimonCowell & @maxclifford1 at @SSChospices Easter Afternoon Tea. The families loved meeting everyone…
