S Club 7 Reunite After a Decade

S Club 7 are reuniting after splitting a decade ago. Do you remember their biggest hits, Reach For The Stars and Don’t Stop Movin’?  Even with great hits, bands have a hard time staying together because of conflicting personality traits and life plans. The group got back together occasionally for brief performances, but this is the first time the whole band is back together — including Paul Cattermole whose departure broke up the band.  ITV News announced S Club 7 is reuniting to do a benefit for Children in Need.

S Club 7 are to reunite in full for the first time in over a decade.

The group – whose hits include Reach For The Stars and Don’t Stop Movin’ – will perform a medley of their hits for the BBC’s Children In Need Appeal on November 14.

The group split in 2003 after Paul Cattermole left.

Although some members have previously reunited for small-scale shows together, the performance will be the first time the group have performed together in 11 years.

Cattermole will be back in the group once more alongside Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt, and Rachel Stevens for their comeback.

Following their split, Stevens went on to have a solo career while Spearritt starred in a number of TV shows including ITV’s Primeval.

O’Meara appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, the series which prompted hundreds of complaints to Ofcom over racist remarks to contestant Shilpa Shetty.

S Club 7 is reuniting for a good cause, to support BBCs Children in Need Appeal. I believe this is the main purpose of the arts — to celebrate life and extend it to the less fortunate. We’re supporting S Club 7’s reunion and look forward to hearing them all together once again. Let’s hope they once again reach for the stars and instead of quitting that they keep on movin’ — it’s great to have them back.
