One Direction pranked by Ant and Dec

On this week’s episode of Saturday Night Takeaway Ant and Dec pulled one of their best pranks at the One Direction boys. The prank was rigorously planned in advance to happen at the band’s Madison Square Garden performance, sometime before Christmas. And everything went extremely well!

A fan, or better said “they’re biggest fan from New Zeeland”, was supposed to meet the band backstage, but apparently he started to hyperventilate suffering an asthma attack before meeting the One Direction boys. The guys found out that a fan fainted and panicked, so they called an ambulance, before discovering it was all a prank.

Ant explained the whole hoax, which will be on this Saturday’s episode: The ruse was that 1D’s biggest fans had flown in to meet them. Dec dressed up as one called Jack from New Zealand and I was Ben, a TV host from there. I introduced him to the group – and the meeting didn’t go as planned. But they fell for it.

The Geordie duo used once again professional make up, prosthetics, wigs and costumes. Dec was dressed in a purple and white One Direction jacket and a beanie hat, with a blonde wig underneath. Ant had prosthetic make up on, a fake moustache and glasses to create his TV host character. Dec told: I faked an asthma attack. They panicked and I hyperventilated. They called medical emergencies. It was such fun and they fell for it. We did it in Madison Square Garden before Christmas.

An ITV spokesperson wanted to specify that they want to apologize if anybody suffering from asthma was offended: As viewers will see on Saturday, the item shows Dec playing a super fan who meets his idols One Direction and is overcome with excitement, hyperventilates and has to be seen by a paramedic, who is played by an actor.  No reference is made to asthma at all.  We apologise to asthma suffers for any misunderstanding.

Justin Bieber was supposed to be on Saturday Night Takeaway but cancelled

Meanwhile, another teen heartbreaker was not so cool about participating in Ant and Dec’s variety show was Justin Bieber. The singer was supposed to be part of an interview with Little Ant and Dec butt he failed to show up but apparently he had ‘other commitments’ and decided not to turn up.

The Canadian teenage superstar also vowed to never come back in Britain, after having a heated clash with a photographer when he left his hotel, screaming ‘I’m never coming back here’. He was also late for first O2 concert, which left hundreds of fans and parents angry at him, and then the next day he had to be taken to the hospital after almost collapsing on stage due to breathing problems.

An ITV spokesperson made an official statement about Bieber’s absence saying that: Justin was keen to speak to Little Ant and Dec but sadly his commitments meant he was unavailable.

Dec and Ashley Roberts, more than friends?

Ashley Roberts, who will also be part of this week’s episode of Saturday Night Takeaway, and presenter Declan Donelly have sparked some rumours that the two are starting a romance. Ashley and Dec have met up before at I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, a show that had sparked some romances- Jordan and Peter Andre, or Marc Bannerman and Cerys Matthews.

Ashley didn’t comment about this saying that they are trying to keep out of the public, which leaves room for interpretation that there is something that needs to remain low key. She added: We’re just getting to know each other. We’re having fun, but I’m single. I love both those guys. All these boys I’m supposed to be dating… I sound like a w****!” she laughed. I’m actually the total opposite. Well, Dec will be happy about this information.
