Louis Walsh Falls Off Stage at X-Factor — Not Hurt!

Louis Walsh made a splash at X-Factor auditions Sunday by falling off the stage. Some say he will do anything for the spotlight, but sources say it was a genuine fall. Thankfully, he was not injured and when the other X-Factor judges realized that, they broke out in laughter. Louis is all in one piece, and plans to win this year’s X-Factor with a smile on his face and fans in his pocket.

Louis Walsh X-Factor 2014

X Factor judge Louis Walsh fell off the stage during auditions at the weekend.

He was filming a segment for the opening credits when he plunged to the floor.

Fellow panelists Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Mel B looked shocked as staff rushed to see if Louis was OK.

However, they were all soon laughing as they realised the Irish music manager was unhurt.

An X Factor source said: “All four judges were filming the sequence for the start of each show in front of the green screen.

“The girls were looking very glamorous and ready for action, as was Simon.

“Then Louis suddenly fell off the stage. They were worried about him at first, of course, although Simon was gutted they didn’t manage to get the incident on camera when they realised he was fine!”

According to the Sunday People, staff rushed to help the Irish panel member after he tumbled from the stage whilst filming an opening credits sequence. An XF insider told the paper that all four judges were ready to shoot the green screen footage when Louis “suddenly fell off the stage”.

But it’s unlikely Louis will be appearing on You’ve Been Framed any time soon.

The source said: “They were worried about him at first, of course, although Simon was gutted they didn’t manage to get the incident on camera when they realised he was fine!”

There was also reportedly “an element of frustration” for the other judges, as Louis continued to joke about his fall.

The gossip explained: “It took them longer than anticipated to film the sequence – almost an hour – because of all the interruptions.”

Louis Walsh won’t be taking up ballet lessons but he may need to get a little more sleep, or just be a little more observant of where the stage starts and ends. Actually I’m amazed that more people aren’t falling off stages everywhere because the lighting is not always that bright and those on the stage are concentrating so much on their performance, with their eyes on the crowd, that the edge of the stage isn’t always in sight. We’re glad Louis Walsh is well after his tumble, and we look forward to more of his antics as X-Factor 2014 continues.
