Gareth Thomas struggle on this week’s Dancing on Ice and Samia’s leaves the show

For this week’s edition the contestants have to prepare a difficult routine which will have each celebrity do a spin in the air, reaching up to 30 ft, using harnesses and wires. But it seems that Gareth Thomas is having a hard time completing this task and struggling with the challenge. After his first rehearsal he headed out straight to the bin…to vomit. Not a pleasant sight!

He is now taking anti-nausea medication and trying to pull it off with the help of his partner Robin Johnstone. A source talked to The Sun and said: Gareth’s routine really pushes him next week. He’s been finding it tough and at one point he went so green his partner Robin had to rush off and get a big black bin on the ice for him to hurl into. It’s tough because ice skating takes a lot of energy, but he’s struggling to keep his food down.

We can only hope that Gareth will manage to get past this because he’s been doing a great job on the show, over the past weeks. Last week he scored a 29.5 mark.

Samia’s exit

On this week’s show was the last time Samia and her partner Sylvian got the chance to dance on ice together because she was to one to take the leave. The couple received the lowest score, because the star suffered a groin injury which kept her from performing at her full potential.  Samia and Sylvian pitched against Luke Campbell in the skate off, and they had to include an object to their routine. Samia chose a chair to include on her routine on Roxette’s The Look, which caused her the injury.

The judges tried to save Luke but tried to make it up to Samia saying that she can keep her head up because she got her highest score. Phillip Schofield teased her for the pair’s new found-out relationship saying:  You’ve picked up lots of things since you’ve been here.” Samia replied that she and Sylvain “would stay in touch”

Following her exit she tweeted that she had a wonderful time at the Dancing on Ice competition and she thanked her partner for everything:

I’ve had an AMAZING time at #doi so happy I have got this far!! Thanks for all ur support each week!! Now time to go home to #Corrie!!

Thank you to the gorgeous @slongchambon for being the most talented and patient skating partner I could have wished for! #amazingman

Samia was invited on This Morning today, and she told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that she is not disappointed and that for the last couple of weeks she would have been happy to go.

Not in a bad way – but I kind of given it my best shot and I can kind of go away knowing that I couldn’t have done anymore. Last night was a great night to go out on because I got my highest score and I felt good about the routine, she explained.

The Coronation Street star said that she will be back on skates, but only to enjoyed it by herself.

Her partner on ice, and apparently in life, the French Sylvain talked about his experience of getting Samia into shape for the competition: It was great…. Is she easy to teach? That depends if she’s focused, she’s alright. Phillip also asked if they will skate together again in the future, and Samia cheekily replied that they will have a round on their local ice rink, leaving room for interpretation of their alleged romance.
