Chris Tarrant’s Last Episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

I hate to say it, but Chris Tarrant’s last episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire will air on Tuesday 4th February at 8pm on ITV.  Millionaire is my favorite TV game show of all time, partly due to how Christ Tarrant hosted the show. My wife and I even visited the studios and sat in on a live show. We will miss you and the show, Chris!

Back in the Hotseat to finish their game from last week, singing sensation Alexandra Burke teams up with fashion designer and jungle expert, David Emanuel! How far can they make it up the BIG MONEY TREE? They are playing for Breast Cancer Care and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Breast Cancer Care combines the personal experiences of people affected by breast cancer with clinical expertise to provide information and offer emotional and practical support. They aim to bring people affected by breast cancer together and promote the importance of early detection. They hope to improve the standards of support and care. Their goal: We want every person affected by breast cancer to get the best treatment, information and support.

Macmillan Cancer Support are a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. It’s not only patients who live with cancer, Macmillan also help carers, families and communities. Macmillan guide people through the system, supporting them every step of the way.  Macmillan fund nurses and other specialist health care professionals and build cancer care centres.
Taking centre stage in Chris Tarrant’s last episode, Olympic cycling legend, Sir Chris Hoy, aims to win gold once again for mental health charity SAMH and children’s charity UNICEF. Joining him in the hotseat is fellow Scotsman and stand-up comedian, Kevin Bridges who is playing for The Euan MacDonald Centre. Will the Scottish pair go up a gear and win the magic million?

Chris Hoy says “I’m really looking forward to taking part in the last ever episode of such an iconic game show. I’m hoping Kevin and I can put our heads together and come away with a huge cheque for our chosen charities, but I’m fully aware Chris Tarrant won’t let it be an easy challenge!

SAMH Provides community based services for over 3000 people across Scotland, offering support, training and recovery for those experiencing mental health problems, addictions, homelessness and other forms of social exclusion.

UNICEF is the world’s leading organisation for children, working in over 190 countries. We do whatever it takes to make a lasting difference to children’s lives.

Good luck to Chris Tarrant in the future. I’m sure it will be a bittersweet evening for him as he hosts the last ever Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I’m sure he has something else on the horizon though… we will have to just wait and see.
