Carol McGiffin from Loose Women talks about her boozing

There’s no secret that Loose Woman Carol McGiffin enjoys more than a couple of wine glasses with her toyboy lover, but she revealed that her drinking has deeper reasons: she doesn’t want to live too much. She went on and explained: I just don’t want to live that long. That’s why I drink so much. What’s the point of living forever?  That’s a bit dark!

In an interview for the Daily Mirror Carol talked about getting older, saying that she understands why some people complain about that, finding hard to carry on when they have emotional or financial problems. But the 53 year old admits that ageing has its positive aspects:  I can see myself getting bored. Not with life – I am healthy and fit and I can still afford to take care of myself. I am already teaching Mark how to push a wheelchair around. Carol is referring to her boyfriend, soon husband, Mark Cassidy, who is 22 years than her.  Carol has been a presenter on Loose Women for ten years and she’s been married before to DJ Chris Evans.

Talking about cosmetic surgery Carol said that she would love to have a facelift, in order to not look like boyfriend’s mother: I would love to have a facelift. My face is heading south and, more than anything, I want to look better and less tired. I also don’t want people to think that I am Mark’s mother, although she is 10 years older than me and looks amazing.Mark doesn’t want me to do it but there is nothing he can do if I decide to go ahead with it. It’s scary ‘though and it must be very painful.

She says that she always encourages her fiancee to go a tanning salon in order to speed his ageing process.
