Many are blessed with extraordinary qualities and talents and reality television shows like Britain’s Got Talent is a platform that gives them an opportunity to showcase their gift to the world. Fondly nicknamed as BGT, Britain’s Got talent is one of the longest running shows that has just completed its 6 series and is all geared up to host the next in 2013. What is Britain’s Got Talent about?

Britain’s Got Talent is one of the many British talent TV competitions running successfully since June 2007. The creator of the show is Simon Cowell and is produced by Fremantle Media’s Thames. The show is telecasted on iTV, the famous UK television channel.

Anyone who has talent, irrespective of their age can audition and participate in this show. 40 contestants selected after auditions with an exception of 45 in 2012 have to perform acts based on their talent in front of the live public and a panel of judges who decide the one person to be crowned as “The winner of Britain’s Got Talent. The show creates promises a lot of thrill and excitement as contestants vie for the most coveted title.

Every new series commences with interviews of winners of the past series brought under one program titled “Most talented”. The winners are given prize money of £ 500,000and a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance for the members of the British Royal Family including Queen Elizabeth II.

Britain’s Got Talent: Viewers chance to win exciting prizes

Reality TV competitions not only pack goodies and whooping prize amounts for winners but also for its viewers. Britain’s Got Talent organizes popular weekly viewer’s competitions. They ask a simple competition entry question during the show. Thus, viewers have to watch the show carefully to hear the question and follow the instructions given to send their answers. A draw is held to decide the lucky winner from among the eligible entries. Viewers can send their answers online, by SMS, PRTS or red button. The draw for the lucky winner is held within 24 hours of the closing time and date. Viewers should take note of the opening and closing date and time for entries declared during the programme.

Methods to send submit entries for Britain’s Got Talent viewer’s competitions

  1. To send your entries via PRTS phone, call on the number given and follow the instructions. They allow only 9 entries per phone number. The call from BT landlines is not more than £ 1.03 per call.
  2. You can also send a text message to the given number choosing any of the alternatives (A, B, C) to indicate your answer. It adopts the same method of 9 entries per phone number. Those who submit their entries via SMS will receive a reply message as an approval of the entry and are then invited to enter the competition using the SMS method the second time for the same mobile number for an additional entry free of cost and then the remaining procedure follows.
  3. The red button is for Virgin media and Sky users. They have to press the red button on the remote control to submit their entries (up to 9 entries). The cost per red button is not more than £1.03
  4. The online entries can be sent via the official iTV website (www.itv.com).

The prizes for the TV competitions include prize money, a full paid trip (including travel, accommodation and selected entertainment) and a lot more. The terms and conditions for the prizes are listed on the official website.
